Custom called 'Faobh-bhleothan' probably collected from Margaret MacDonald, Malacleit/Malaclete, Uibhist a Tuath/North Uist telling how if a woman was caught milking her neighbour's cow and thus stealing its milk, her hand would be cut off at the wrist. 'A spot is still pointed at Udal where this was done for a poor wretch cau[gh]t in the act'. Written transversely over the text is another example citing the spot on Vallay [Bhàlaigh] where a woman was 'buried alive' for the same offence.

Fragment of the story 'A Chromag Gabh mu n Cuairt' probably collected from Ruaridh Camshron [Roderick Cameron], Carbost [Càrabost, An t-Eilean Sgitheanach/Isle of Skye]. The text tells how the story of the man arriving at the giant's house and being hidden by the giant's wife. The full text of the story can be found at CW109/3 folio 6r.

Note probably collected from Donald MacColl, foxhunter, Glencreran, Earra Ghàidheal/Argyllshire, about footprints in a rock left by the Lochaber women who stole cheese from Cuiralainn [Curalan/St Cyril]. This rock sheltered men after the Battle of Culloden.

Story about Cuiralain [Curalan/St Cyril] in which a child is stolen from him and he rides after the culprits and strikes them dead. Torran nam Bàn [Tòrran nam Bàn] is said to be the place where the women were struck dead. There are three stones there.
